C.E.A. utilizes what may be deemed a "traditional" approach to education. Teachers use curriculum and other resources to teach core subjects, and students are tested periodically to ensure their mastery of the material covered. Various methods are used including lecture, demonstration, discussion, and educational games to optimize learning. The program's high standards require students to work hard to learn the subject material, and students are required to demonstrate diligence and effort in order to stay in the program.

As students advance by grade, more emphasis is placed on critical thinking skills and writing. Older students do a considerable amount of essay writing. Our curriculum encourages the development of a Christian world view, and our teachers help their students gain an excellent academic foundation within the context of such an environment. Most C.E.A. students will pursue higher education, and we have found that our graduates are well prepared for such work. While academic standards are high and considered very important, the development of godly character remains the program's highest goal for each student.
