Since 1994, C.E.A. has provided both a traditional learning environment for home schooled children and a rather unique learning opportunity. Professional teachers use a variety of age appropriate methods to enhance learning of core subjects, including lecture, games, discussion, writing and other homework assignments and projects. Traditional evaluation methods include regular quizzes and tests to ensure mastery of material, and students in grades 3 through 8 participate in standardized testing every other year.

Classroom instruction is limited to Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays; most of the students' time is spent at home under the supervision of their parents. The combination of part-time instruction with a small teacher/pupil ratio and the active involvement of dedicated home school parents makes C.E.A. a rather unique program in our region. Over the years this approach to education has helped numerous home school families provide an excellent academic base for their children.
